With the advent of economic globalization, more and more people begin to learnEnglish and language labs are widely applied in universities, high schools, primaryschools. Because language labs can improve students’ abilities of listening, speaking,reading and writing quickly and effectively, the teaching effect has been enhancedgreatly. There are disadvantages of low utilization rate, monotonous teaching methods,low degree of knowledge sharing and being against knowledge application andinnovation in the use of language labs. Knowledge management emerges with thedevelopment of knowledge economy. It is the result of the development of ideas andconcepts of management disciplines in depth, with the deepening understanding of theresource development. Knowledge management is focus on the managementknowledge, aimed at knowledge sharing, accesses and uses knowledge to enhance thecompetitiveness of groups and individuals. The fundamental purpose of knowledgemanagement is to manage the knowledge of individuals and groups effectively.The author holds the idea that the language lab management should combinedwith knowledge management to take advantage of teaching resources. This article willintroduce the knowledge management technology in the management of the digitallanguage laboratory. At first, it describes the establishment of the knowledge base.And then, knowledge sharing, and ultimately achieving efficient and convenientmanagement of digital language lab. The knowledge management system effectivelysolves the following problems: First, new employees quickly accepted learningprograms based on the knowledge base, through training and exchange platform toquickly understand the business, to enter the work state; Second, working records andreferenced resources of the core staff in the key positions should be retained,achieving the goal of transformed personal knowledge into a group of assets; Thethird, the knowledge-based learning programs are built for various departments andpositions, it help to create a "learning team".
