Press brake is a kind of precision sheet metal processing equipment, which is widelyused in many fields. It uses complete sets of moulds to bend sheet metal into certain angle innormal temperature. As the users’ increasing requirements of machining accuracy and energyconsumption, the traditional hydraulic press brake can’t meet these for its inherent defect.All-electric press brake directly driven by servo motor becomes the new developmentdirection in this field. Supported by real-time multitasking CNC system, press brake canincrease motion control performance and improve the ability of interconnection to otherequipments significantly. It can art as a node participate design and data exchange of thewhole production process, what can improve intelligent and networking degree.According to comprehensive research on domestic and foreign CNC press brakedevelopment situation and market demand, this project proposes an all-electric press brakeoverall design scheme based on open CNC system. The hardware design of electrical controlpart and software design of CNC system are the key contents; further research on relativebending control technology is done at the same time. This scheme has following advantages:fast response, high precision, environmental protection and energy saving. It’s simple andeasy for operator and has cost effective advantage.The main contents of this project are as follows.1. According to domestic and foreign research situation and market demand, formulatethe whole system design scheme, propose using4motors to drive slider synchronously, andexplain the function of all axes, transmission mechanism design and specific control methods;2. Put forward the hardware design framework of electrical control part, and do detailedanalysis on working principle of power supply subsystem, industrial control computer, motioncontrol card and safety protection device;3. Real-time multitasking Linux operating system and EMC2.4.3CNC system are usedto build the software platform, its software architecture and working principle is analysesdetailedly; Tcl/Tk language is used to design operation interface, and do system customizationby configuration scripts; 4. Design relative coupling synchronization control structure of4servo motors,combining fuzzy PID control strategy to achieve the Y axis movement and synchronizationperformance requirements, and do actual test on sample machine;5. According to sheet metal elastic deformation characteristics, aim at angleprogramming technique, design bending springback compensation prediction algorithm basedon empirical formula and LMBP neural network, and do simulation experiment.
