Brake control technology is one of the key technologies for rail train. But the hardship of experiment research is due to the huge train brake control system and its complexity. Under building a simulation platform for train braking control unit, the major task of this article introduces the research of the key technologies of the train brake control technology. Brake electronic control unit is an important part of the train brake system. Owing to the design and research about the simulation of brake electronic control unit, the brake control unit module achieves the calculation on braking time, braking distance and the distribution of calculated braking force. In order to provide a good human-computer interaction, the design also covers the brake system terminal PC.The design utilizes ARM7 microcontroller as the main control unit, and the purpose is to simulate braking operation and braking control of the actual BECU. Therefore the design of end PC using LabVIEW graphical language provides braking for the brake controller parameters and command information, while PC receives and displays the ARM7 microcontroller's results of the braking operation. And the communication between terminal PC and ARM7 controller passes through the standard USB 2.0 interface. Furthermore, PXI 6251DAQ board as the lower computer simulates the output from motor vehicle sensor, and then ARM7 microcontroller via GPIO interface deals with the status of lower computer in manner of real-time protection. Under the brake control technology as theoretical basis and the algorithm of braking parameter, the operational programmes achieves the braking function of BECU module. As a result of the situations that each BECU has its own parameter, it is applied system that the host computer provides different BECU models to select.In the end of experiment, the results after a shakedown test combines the BECU module system with the NI IPC show that the BECU module system brings about the data communication from the core controller to the host computer. And the braking operation and its distribution are accomplished by the consequence of successful simulations of the braking function of BECU module. The results are realistic, so the system could provide reference data for the research of current brake control system. It is concluded that the research has some theoretical and practical value.
