In recent years, creativity is playing an increasingly important role in the design field of forestry products. One of the key problems among the product creative design is how to acquire the right knowledge, in other words, how to extract information that exactly achieves the design requirements. At the same time, patent, which is supposed to be the most effective carrier of technology information, is able to provide users with the latest and first-hand materials on innovation, which has critically important meaning in product improvement and technology innovation. In view of the two features above, combining product innovations with patent searching is the core task of this paper.The author chose forestry products as her focus, by fully analyzing TRIZ theory and the patent documents, applied the TRIZ theory to more than100forestry patent analysis and listed examples as excavator, prune, hoe and so on, gave out concrete process in analyzing patents by TRIZ, built a patent database based on the40innovations and39technology contradictive parameters.On the basis of the patent database above, by using JavaScript language and database access techniques, this paper builds a patent retrieval system for the creative design of forestry products. Different from the traditional patent retrieval system which searched by the conditions of time、key words、name and so on, this retrieval system searches by the conflicts and creative points in patent, the fundamental aim is to help more people achieve innovation.Finally, we took forestry irrigation machines for instance, use this retrieval system to analyze contradict parameters, to extract the creative principles and to predict the technology, validates the result of this research. Users and researchers can form new solutions by their own according to the existing solutions in patents and other solutions that TRIZ theory has proposed. Our goal is to reduce the product development cycle and to improve the efficiency in innovation.
