The Ldp Protocol Consistency Testing Based On UML And Work Flow Petri Net

With the rapid development of the network, protocols are more and more important. Protocols could guarantee the normal communication among every entity, and which amount to the rules the entities must observe. However, most of the protocol documents are written by the nature language, this way may lead to ambiguous meanings. So, it’s necessary to do the consistency testing according to the protocols.In this paper, the LDP protocol has been tested by the way consistency method. This protocol is the mainstay protocol of the MPLS (Multiple Protocol Label Switching) technology. Because this technology can solve the traditional IP forwarding problems fundamentally, it was paid much attention since its beginning. At present, the LDP protocol has been widely used in many fields, and can combine various network protocols with seamless. Also, there are a number of network products based on the LDP label technology in the international and domestic markets. It’s meaningful doing the consistency test according to the protocol.In this paper, we have finished such primary works as follows: First, take the concept of the workflow into protocol testing field, illustrate the actual significances. And according to the shortage of the protocol document state machine, describe the process from document nature language to IUT state changing, establish the formalization model of the LDP protocol based on the workflow Petri net.Second, write the XML parser based on Java, realize the automatic generation of the abstract test cases. Convert the abstract test cases to the executable test cases.Third, establish the test environment with Cisco7200, Quid way net Engine40E and GNS3, and accomplish the consistency testing of the LDP protocol.
