The Study On Interesting Tendency Of Party Organs’ Headlines

The headline of news, whether good or bad, is the briefest summary of its newscontents, which can influence the news receivers to select or accept the story. As theNew Media entered a rapid development period in China, the competition in mediamarket is hotting up visibly because the channels of news transmission haveincreasingly diversified. In this situation, the market will place greater pressure on theexistence of traditional media which needs reform both inevitably and necessarily. Dueto the great importance of headlines, they can be the centre in this reform. Newspaperheadlines in recent years, not only from the vocabulary and forms of expression but alsofrom the absorption of the popular social elements, have changed dramatically inevening newspapers, city newspapers, and the party organs, etc. There is no doubt that,the newspaper headlines is transforming from seriousness into interestedness.Based on former research of newspaper headlines, this thesis selects the People’sDaily and the Guangming Daily as sample, analyzes the tendency of interestedness inParty organs’ headlines from the perspective of information dissemination and the useof linguistic theory. For a better understanding of manifestations, causes, usefulness andthe value of this tendency, the author puts forward the suggestions on normalization ofparty organs’ headlines from journalism, sociology, cultural aspects.
