With the rapid development of technology and machinery manufacturingindustry, more and more attention has been focused on the operation ofmachinery safely. Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology isparticularly important. How to integrate new technologies into diagnosis andmake the diagnosis of mechanical equipment more convenient, fast andefficient has become the target of continuous research.Research work on this subject is based on the demand for equipmentmonitoring. A compact and high level of protection vibration measuringinstruments has been designed which based on ATmega128AVR MCU core.The instrument can measure and display the temperature, acceleration,velocity, displacement and envelope, and it can also alarm when the detectiondata exceeded.First of all, this paper descripted the basic principle of vibration diagnosisand detection briefly and then introducted the design of hardware and softwareplatforms on portable equipment. Hardware design section covered the sensorsignal conditioning modules for analog circuit design and data acquisitionmodule, a microprocessor module and power supply module of the digital circuit design. The software designing used the C language including the mainprogram, key programming, LCD display unit, A/D sampling programsections.Then it introduced the instrument calibration of vibration and temperatureand the experiment of vibration and temperature measuring accuracy throughthe standard source. The results showed that measurement error could meetthe relevant State provisions. Finally, this article described the application ofthis equipment for mechanical equipment vibration detection and envelopedetection of bearing diagnosis and temperature detection of diagnosis.
