Hydroelectric Generating Set Status Monitoring And Fault Diagnosis System Research

According to the characters of "unattended" management system and thetransition from planning maintenance to condition maintenance in hydropower plant,this paper analyses the content and the method of condition monitoring and faultdiagnostic system as well as its development situation. Based on the research whichfocus in the monitoring methods of cavitation abrasion in hydro-generator set, theprocessing of supersonic wave signal with spectrum analysis method is studied indepth. On the basis of which, this paper also presents a new method to fulfill thecondition monitoring of cavitation abrasion in hydro-generator set according to themethod of separating the spectrum with software and setting up the width of spectrumfreely The condition monitoring of cavitation abrasion in hydro-generator set havebeen developed and the system is put into practical operation in BapanxiaHydropower Plant. The results, which get from this system, have guiding idea tohydropower plant fulfilling the condition monitoring.
