Data acquisition connects the computer and the physical world, is widelyused in various fields. With the rapid development of bus technology and themulti-functions of digital processor, data acquisition system update quickly, the overall trend of design is high-precision, high-speed, multi-channel andminiaturization.USB has high transmission speed, strong expansibility and popularity; onthe other hand, FPGA also has many good features such as high processingspeed, high integration and flexible design, so this paper introduces a dataacquisition system based on USB and FPGA. This system comes withconditioning circuits, external conditioning circuit board is unessential. Theconditioning consists of filtering, scaling and single-ended to differentialsignal, designing for vibration industry. Multi-channel is needed consideringthe type of vibrational sensors and engineering application. This paper discusses the design of circuit and programming. This dataacquisition system uses EZ-USB FX2chip CY7C68013for USB interface,24-bit A/D converter ADS1274for analog to digital conversion, ping-pongbuffer to avoid data disclosure. This system also provides many sampling frequencies to meet different requirements. Optimization of data transmissionunit and description of application in field balancing have been done based ona lot experiment. Experiment results show that this system is stable, highprecision, high speed, strong anti-interference ability, which reaches desiredgoals. Finally, this paper introduces the vibration calibration system derivedfrom upgrading of this data transmission unit.
