With the sustained rapid economic growth and improvement of people’s living standard in China, the safety of foods and quality of products are getting more and more attention from the public. Therefore, whether an enterprise or a government regulator, all hope to establish a practical and efficient product quality supervision system to settle the problems. At present, many countries have done a wide range of research in products traceability, and will build the products tracing system to supervise quality of products effectively. For an enterprise, setting up the product tracing system, not only can improve the products quality, but also can improve the management level as well as social effects and economic benefits. Setting up products tracing system has become an important management means for circulation manufacturing enterprises to enhance their competitiveness. For instance, the recall system in automobile industry is based on products tracing system.As a kind of "the Internet connecting things", Internet of Things provides a foundation platform for the supply chain to realize the tracking and tracing for products. Appling the tracing technology based on IOT to mark the tracing objects with electronic tag, using the reader to read and write production circulation information, with the internet and computer communication to form a system of products tracking network. Combining with laboratory projects, this paper sets an enterprise of automotive components as an example to analyze the key traceability information about purchase, production, sales and other segments after adequate researching, then developing a tracing information system of automotive components based on IOT.The research background and meaning of this paper is first described, then reviewing the present situation of key technologies applied in products traceability and IOT domestic and abroad. On the above basis, this paper proposed its research target, main research contents and perspective. Secondly, outlining the network technologies applied in tracing system, and putting an emphasis on the bar code technology, radio frequency identification technology, and web service technology. Comparing several automatic identification technologies and with comprehensively analyzing, to confirm the trace technology used in the paper ultimately. The key techniques such as RFID hardware system and tag coding scheme used in the tracing system have been analyzed and researched in details. Then analyzing the supply chain of auto parts, and combining the existed tracing mode to build another supply chain tracing mode for auto parts. According to the auto parts traceability information system which is based on IOT, the supply chain enterprises can acquire and share the products information precisely, and finally can realize the tracing of products information rapidly and efficiently. The requirement main functional modules and the key database model designing of the auto parts tracing system have been analyzed in detail. In addition, the RFID application design and software and hardware configuration of the system are illustrated in the essay. Finally, this paper devised and developed the auto parts traceability platform based on Internet of Things with the programming language of C#and the database of Microsoft SQL Server2005under the development platform of Microsoft Visual Studio2008.The research in this paper provides a reference in product traceability to other types of manufacturing enterprises. What’s more, the research results have already applied in actual production management and achieved a reasonable effect in the cooperation enterprise.
