With the rapid development of medical image processing technology and advanced medical imaging equipment now, diagnostic methods has undergone tremendous changes.doctors not only can observe lesions in the two-dimensional tomography image of patients, but also can analysis and diagnosis of the patient’s condition by using a variety of medical image processing technology objectively. Medical image processing techniques includes image three-dimensional visualization and image segmentation.Many researchers has made the depth of development for medical image processing system based on the integration of existing medical image processing technology, which makes the speed of development has been considerable improvement within the field of medical image, but also reduces the duplication of development for the existing algorithms in the practical application. At present, the more successful medical image processing platform are ITK and VTK, but they exist to a few defects in varying degrees, it brings a lot of inconvenience to the process of medical image processing in a large extent. In this context, we hope to establish a practical professional medical image processing system based on existing algorithm platform, which integrates the existing medical image processing technology.Firstly, this article makes a brief overview about the development of medical image processing and related technologies, explores the limitations of existing medical image processing platform, and introduces the significance that we have developed an integrated medical image processing system. Then, we design an image processing system based on medical imaging development platform MITK by using Visual C++6.0development environment, it primarily analysis the overall framework of integrated medical image processing system and the implementation process, and achieves3D visualization of medical image data, threshold segmentation and interactive segmentation. Finally, it achieves the personality sphere modeling of human femoral for more accurate analysis and judgment to assist doctors.
