Medical imaging involves the imagines copied by medical video equipments such as CT and MRI. The division of medical imaging is a key technology to deal with and analyze medical imaging. It is also a course splitting the imagines into umpty areas based on the similarities and differences of the areas. The bottleneck of development and application in condition of other relative technologies handling medical imaging and the first issue about analyzing and identifying medical imaging is how to divide the imagines from the relative organizations. From the medical research and the clinical application's angle, the objective of the imaging division is that the original 2D or 3D imagines are split into the areas with the different characters, is to distill and display the interested areas of them, is to get close to the result of dissection, and is to offer the credible basis for the clinical consultation and the scientific study of diseases.MITK is a C++ class libraries exploited into the integrated medical imaging transaction and analysis by Institute of Automation of Academia Sinica. As similar as the style of VTK, it offers to a series of tools which have characters of the consistent interface, multiplexing and high efficiency for the functions involving splitting medical imagines, registering and visualization. It also uses the traditional design methods for the object rather than the style of ITK's pattern serial number, as it is easier to be used with the simper and direct character of the grammar and interface. At present, it has been an exploitative tool used by national researchers on medical imaging handling.The objective and purport of task: Recently the main carving algorithm of the imagines involves the division of the value of a threshold, region growing, interactive division, live wire, fast marching and water level set. Although every algorithm prior to aim at one part or character of the imagines, however, none of them can be applied in all of the medical imaginings.Under the VC's condition, the task focus on the main trend of the division algorithm of the medical imaging based on that MITK uses MFC to exploit the division system of medical imaging. At the same time, to fill up the deficiency from not enough fecundity of MITK algorithm, the task designed MITK and a data interface in the medical developed handling packages ITK which is popular on international area recently. It expands the functions of MITK, and solves the issues about non-visualization of ITK.
