Design And Implementation Of Remote Monitoring System For College Laboratory

With the highly development of network, security of network and remote monitoring in education have been used broadly. A special network monitoring system is needed to serve the production, to improve productivity and the quality of life.This thesis focuses on the research and development of a college laboratory remote monitoring system. With the system, teachers can manage and monitor students during the process students study in the class, which can improve the efficiency of laboratory management. The system bases on the Windows Socket Network Programming, uses MFC application design techniques and C/S (client/server) mode, is developed at VC6.0software platform. According to the demand for systems, the monitoring system consists of the following main functions:monitoring the computer screen on the students’computers, recording the operation of monitored computer used by students, making statistics of the monitored computer status, sending a message to monitored computer, and so on. With implementation of these sections, the teacher can acquire the operated information of machine which operated by students and oversee the screen of the students, which could effectively find abnormal behavior that students use the machine in the class, such as playing games on computer, long time not operating computers.This thesis follows the software engineering methods. Firstly, the requirement analysis is done so as to investigate the background and the practical application of the system. Based on the requirement analysis, functional requirements and performance of the system are clear. Then the detailed design and implementation of the system are presented. Finally, the system software testing to ensure software quality is given. Through the above process, we deeply discussed the design and implementation of remote monitoring system.After tested, the system is proved to be simple, configurable and high flexibility, and real time and stable, which has a practical value in the school computer lab management.
