Information technology of network is regarded as a main tool to build a virtual and open logistics network platform by using advanced information technology and modern communication technology. Modern logistics combines computer network and communication technology to connect to the existing information system of each enterprise nodes. It gathers and processes all the information of each part of logistic activities efficiently and safely. The cooperation of each business system can be enhanced by the operations within the platform. It can not only optimize the utilization efficiency of the enterprise resources, but also can develop business strategies for the enterprise and to provide relevant data and information for government austerity measures by the feedback function of data analysis.However, with the rapid development of information technology, security has become a sensitive topic, especially for the network security. The railway computer applications system has been well established after years of construction, with the support of which, the railway logistics system can play a better role. But the railway transportation system is an independent and gigantic private network; which is inadequate for the applications such as modern marketing, customer services, modern logistics and electronic business. These applications need not only the connection of the network, but also a secure and service-oriented network. Accordingly, the existing network have to be adaptive to the requirement of the development of railway logistics.In order to ensure the safe performance of the railway logistics system in the information age and the diversity of the railway logistics development, we have to build up a defend system of secure logistics network to retrieve data from the internet through communication servers of unified settings and then import all the data to the railway intern working system through the secure transportation network. This kind of system can overcome the weakness of connatural poor ability to withstand attacks and control-ability. To speed up the development of railway logistics, we must introduce advanced technologies to enhance the infrastructure and build up a defense system in depth for the security of the network and information system.
