With the improvement of the living standard of people, the number of private cars in our country is more and more so that the problem that the parking is difficult is increasingly prominent. In order to meet the daily increased parking requirements, various large-size and super-large-size parking lots continuously emerge. However, the traditional parking lot management system cannot be adapted to the management of the large-scale parking lots and the main problems of the traditional parking lot management system are as follows:in the larger public parking lots, car owners cannot rapidly and efficiently find parking places, so that not only the time of the car owners is wasted, but also the operation of the parking lots is influenced; the scale of the parking lots is larger and larger and the number of the cars is increased, therefore, the management difficulty of the parking lots is increased and the safety of the cars cannot be guaranteed. As the parking lots are the necessary places of living services of people, greater market requirements on a novel management system of the parking lots are generated.In the dissertation, the reasons which cause the current parking problems are analyzed at first and current research situations at home and abroad are presented. A parking place detection and experiment system is developed based on project requirements of a customer and the system is used for monitoring parking place situations in real time and carrying out function application expansion on the system according to the requirements of the functions. According to the functions needing to be realized by a parking place detection system and each module required for assuring an experiment system in the paper, the detection system comprises a parking place detection node, a parking place detection transfer station and upper computer parking place display software. According to the paper, the user requirements are analyzed, the total schematic design is finished, a hardware design and a software design of each part of the system are introduced in detail, and a common car detection algorithm is introduced; the characteristics are discussed and an appropriate detection algorithm is selected aiming to an application background of the system; and finally, the whole system is tested and the test result shows the feasibility of the system and the accuracy of the detection.In a word, the parking place is detected by utilizing an earth induction technology and data communication is carried out by utilizing wireless radio frequency communication, so that the state of the parking place can be effectively reflected and the parking place detection system has some helps to the effective management and the safety of the parking place.
