The slab amplifier pumped by laser diode array (LDA) has the advantages of good beam quality, long life, high power, and has been a wide range of applications in laser ranging, space communications, laser radar, laser medicine and other fields. The study of pumped optical field distribution of optically pumped system of slab amplifier is very important to the slab amplifier output beam, which can not only improve the quality of the output beam of slab amplifier, but also can improve the size of the output optical power of it. Therefore it is necessary to study on the pumped optical field distribution of slab amplifier.First of all, the paper introduces the research status and significance of the pumped optical distribution of the laser amplifier, secondly, it covers optically pumped system components of the slab amplifier, and analyzes and designs optically pumped structure model of the two slab amplifiers, such as, the lens-focus LDA face-pumped slab amplifier and the glass plus lens focusing LDA composite pump-side slab amplifier. Again, it has a brief introduction on the principle of Inverse-Ray Tracing. Thirdly, it numerically simulates the pump field distribution of the optically pumped structures of the lens-focus LDA face-pumped slab amplifier by Inverse-Ray Tracing Method and software, and adjusts the parameter values, we get the excellent structural parameter values by comparing the conclusion, finally, it qualitatively analyzes and compares the pump efficiency and pump uniformity in different optical pumping structures under different system parameters, and gets the best optical pumping system architecture model.The simulation results show that the different parameters of slab amplifier of the different optical pumping system structure has a very important effect on pump efficiency and pump uniformity, for example, the LDA composite pumped amplifier structure by the has the better pumped performance and according to the analysis, the case of slab amplifier in pump efficiency and pump uniformity is the better ideal when the focal length of the lens is greater, the center of the diode array arrangement is more, and the refractive index of the glass tailgate is greater.
