With more and more emphasis on acquiring the competitive intelligence through different approaches from enterprises, a new model of intelligence organization and transmission-social intelligence network have been developing. It provides opportunity for acquiring intelligence and then competitive advantage. As an important part in the process of social competitive intelligence, the social competitive intelligence acquiring has been the hotspot in the academic research. The correct position and objective analysis of intelligence depends on how to acquire efficient intelligence to a large extent. So it is a question which China’s enterprises recently must face on how to participate on the social intelligence network, acquire needed competitive intelligence successfully and promote companies’ competitiveness.What is more, the embedding theory—the core theory in the new economic sociology research has been applied in other disciplines in recent years, which introduces the social structure of personal category into the analysis of economic behavior and give pre-eminence the relational networks of all kinds which resources and abilities are embedded. Therefore, which aspects the enterprises embedding in social intelligence network will influence the intelligence acquiring performance from, has been a new research topic. Some researchers have been aware of the inspiration of the embeddedness on intelligence acquiring, but the existing research is not perfect.Based on social intelligence network that enterprises are engaged in, taking the embedding dimensions as an entry point, this paper takes enterprises participated in intelligence activities together in China as research objects in terms of related theories such as social network、study on human competitive intelligence acquiring system and embedding theory, focuses on the influencing mechanism of the different embedding dimensions among enterprises on the acquiring performance of social competitive intelligence. Firstly, it constructs the conceptual model of "(structura、relational、cultural、cognitive、technical embeddedness)-acquiring performance of enterprise social competitive intelligence", and puts forward five research hypothesis. Then, it carries out the questionnaires survey among some regional enterprises mainly in Jiangsu Province and makes reliability and validity test of the sample. Furthermore, it proceeds to make model fitting and evaluation taking advantage of the Structure Equation Model method, through factor rejecting and path adjusting, confirm the final model, consequently validate the theory hypothesis presented before and analyze the effect mechanism between variables in the model, explain the model modification process at the same time.Drawing on the theoretical survey、model hypothesis and empirical analysis, the main research conclusions can be showed as follows:(1) The embedding dimensions concluded from this paper positively effect on the acquiring performance of enterprises social competitive intelligence separately are:structural embeddedness、cognitive embeddedness, and it puts forward the suitable measuring questions;(2) Based on the questionnaires collected in the research, it analyzes empirically the influencing mechanism of the different embedding dimensions among enterprises on the acquiring performance of social competitive intelligence, by the SEM method, the level of structural embeddedness and cognitive embeddedness play a significantly positive influence on the acquiring performance.
