With the rapid development of IR imaging and its widest prospect in military application, the IR image processing technology has been the research hotspot in relative professional field. The paper focuses on solutions of technologies about background matching, target detection and feature extraction in the infrared tracking and recognition system. The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:1. During the process of target tracking, the background is changed caused by the motion of the infrared sensor, by using block matching algorithm to estimate the motion of background, a new algorithm using four kinds of different complexitys definition used to choose feature block is proposed, then uses the algorithm combined gradation projection and block matching to estimate the background motion vector. The algorithm is able to solve the problems of the speed on block matching algorithm and easily sinking into partly best in BMA.2. Have studied two kind of frame detection algorithm which are based on image intersection and multiplication, and to detect the changing region, using four kinds of different methods to realize. Finally the result is verified and comparised by the true infrared image data. The result indicates that three difference algorithm based on the High-order statistical algorithm with image intersection is fairly effectively simpler and more practical in the real application at last.3. Have analysed and sumed up available target structure and motion characteristics etc, and the target characteristics are drawn by combinating the true infrared image data. The infrared radiation characteristic of target is studied, too. After carrying on the blackbody calibration to the medium wave/long wave infrared sensor, the apparent temperature characteristic is studied based on the medium wave/long wave infrared data, and have drawn the corresponding infrared radiation characteristic in accordance with vehicle and person objective etc.The work in the paper is summarized at last, and the key problems and direction of the future research are outlined. |
