With the development of market economy, modern society is transformed fromindustrial society to information society. In order to achieve maximum economicefficiency, shorten the production cycle and improve production efficiency, has beenthe major technological innovation direction for the major manufacturers. With theadvent of the information society, the traditional manual-based storage managementmodel is suffering the impact of the information age, and the industry faces growingcompetition in the market. While information-processing oriented storage mode hasbeen paied more and more attention. Domestic and foreign scholars has invested a lotof energy to its theoretical and practical research.Based on an actual car parts warehouse management scenarios, This paperdesigned a complete C/S mode of communication, warehouse management systemplatform. The system contains two parts. The first part is a mobile data terminal usingS3C6410A microprocessors. The terminal implements in the front-end reservoir areanormalization and standardization of operation. By controlling the IN/OUT storageprocess, the operator acts in accordance with the procedures set by the program, andthe terminal can check and correct the errors in the whole procedures. The second partis to design the back-end warehouse management system. This system uses Mysqldatabase as a back-end database and is designed by visual C++. This systemimplements such functions in warehouse management as the identification ofmaterials, In-storage, Out-storage, query the database.The design of the mobile data terminal, including four major aspects: coresystem and the peripheral interface circuit design, PCB circuit board production,transplantation of an embedded operating system and its application development.Schematic and layout is made with Protel. Embedded systems using Linux, while theapplication is based on the Qt Creator. The wireless transmission module is designedby2chips: a wireless baseband chip HED08W04SUA supporting IEEE802.11a/b/g/i/e-communication protocol and a AL2230RF transceiver chip.Back-end warehouse management system is running on the PC side, whichmanages the entire reservoir area. This system, on one hand controls mobile dataterminal to finish storage operation, while transmits and verifies the storage formtimely; on the other hand, implements database management functions, provides a friendly interactive interface, and achieves the functions of printing the storageinformation and barcode labels.Finally, in the article I test the back-end warehouse management systems andmobile data terminal, which solve the problem of the user’s storage management.
