This thesis is to develop an handheld device of equipment management for Artillery parts, the development is upon the environment of embedded operation system and embedded application softwares.Based on the WinCE embedded operation system and S3C2440A-40 chip, this paper mainly deals with the research and the product development of Artillery equipment warehouse information management system with ARM920TS3C2440 as the hardware core. Firstly, this paper analyses functions needs by the system, an overall design for this information system is proposed, and the function module is properly divided and designed. Secondly, according to the overall design requirements for the artillery equipment warehouse information management system, the system's hardware circuit is designed, and it is also debugged and carried out on the correlative development board. Thirdly, according to the function requirements of the artillery equipment warehouse information management system, the Windows CE operating system kernel is customized and transplanted. Fourthly, application programs for the artillery equipment warehouse information management system are compiled. Finally, with the software prepared, modified, compiled and burned, experiment for artillery equipment warehouse information management system is operated and run based on the WinCE environment and S3C2440A-40 chips. the basic realization of the artillery equipment warehouse information management system expected various functions, the application of the system conducted a preliminary exploration study.
