The first one is the flat network scheme. Flat network is the inevitable trend of thedevelopment of telecommunication network, and the whole network construction mode willchange from the previous " backbone network+provincial Network+metropolitan areanetwork" multi-level structure to" backbone+man" flat network structure. The flat networkreduces bottlenecks during the transmission process, and fundamentally breaks through thedrawbacks in the course of the network’s subsequent evolution. Especially at this stage, withthe continuing blowout-type growth of the broadband market, problems of convergence layerand edge backbone network layer are gradually revealed, so the flat network is becomingimminent. Flat network is able to improve the bearing capacity of the network, and networkefficiency, meanwhile further reduce operating costs, improving the efficiency ofmaintenance management. Secondly, it’s suggested we use EPON for broadband access as anetwork reconstruction scheme. Along with the ADSL access mode has been stuck, EPONaccess technology is a new way of broadband access, whose superiority is shownincreasingly. Through the transformation the "broadband upgrading and accelerating"construction purpose can be achieved in accordance with the "copper retreat into the light"development strategy. This paper concludes with a discussion of how to reduce the networkfault, improving access rate by transforming the communication lines.
