Choosing Windows series operating system as the OS, VS as the development platform, C#as the development language, SQL Mobile as the database of the mobile equipments and develop the evaluation tool of the standing timbers’assets. This tool has functions such as data entry, parameter setting, calculation, results indication, data management and so on. Users can select different evaluation and calculation methods according to different requirements and the situations. The system can provide the corresponding error analysis function based on different degrees of confidence set by users, offering powerful support for appraiser’s evaluation and eventually improve the reliability and scientificity of the evaluating results.The evaluation tool of the standing timbers’assets based on PDA gets through the corresponding software testing. We also apply it in the onsite evaluation of the Haiyang experimental forest farm in Qingyuan county of Liaoning Province, and it turns out to be of strong usability. We can apply it to reduce the indoor processing in the traditional ways, and boost the credibility of the evaluation results.
