As a field bus, CAN bus support real-time and distributed communication control. CANhas been widely used in various fields of industrial control, but its transmission rate is limitedby the transmission distance. If the field bus access Ethernet, not only broking thetransmission distance limitations, but also having a very high and stable data transfer rate.With the rapid development of network technology in recent years, industrial controltechnology and network technology are increasingly closely integrated, field bus accessEthernet has become a trend.The embedded data recorder for military vehicle, record the parameters of variousdevices of running equipment in the car body. Running status of the various specific CANmonitor node can be obtained through the analysis of the data. For the poor real-time and lowflexibility of the previous design, the gateway model of a CAN bus and Ethernet businterconnect is given in this paper. Through the networks can facilitate the realization of thedata collection, transmission and storage. This topic contains mainly two parts: hardwaredesign and software implementation. This topic contains mainly two parts: hardware designand software implementation. In hardware, the main control chip ARM7 family processorLPC2294 as an embedded recorder, RTL8019AS as the Ethernet controller. LPC2294 internalintegrated CAN controller, combined with the high-speed CAN isolation the transceiverCTM1050T leads to two CAN interfaces, and in accordance with the system’s functionalrequirements, Selecting the appropriate peripheral devices and memory for schematic design,in software, a detailed analysis of the CAN bus protocol principles and mechanisms oftransmission, and studying composition and principle of the TCP / IP protocol. Finally,completing with control, display and analysis functions of the interface design.
