Digital City Management With WCDMA Technology

The rapid development of computer technology and communication technology has driven a large number of industries’fast development, thanks to this, the city administration will step upwards a new level. Current urban management urgently need to improve efficiency and reduce costs, in order to solve this problem digital city management system came into being. Based on a large amount of research of digital city management in and abroad and the advantages of China Unicom, combined with the experience of current vehicle wireless video surveillance system of Suzhou Patrol Detachment which jointly developed by China Unicom, the authors propose a novel kind of digital city management with WCDMA technology.The successful application of car video surveillance system further advance the construction of Suzhou digital city management. Taking the inherent characteristics of Suzhou and China Unicom’s great advantage in information technology fully into account, the author proposed a detailed and complete digital city management program. The program accurately divides Suzhou into a lot of mesh, combined with the urban management component method, take the "chengguantong" as the terminal to collect information, relying on a unified urban integrated information platform, we establish an independent system, consist of management center and supervision center, as the two "axis" of digital city management system. And we use mass data storage technology to store data for future decision-making.This article first present and analyse the current status and problems of city management. Based on the successful implementation experience of Suzhou City Traffic Police Detachment of the wireless video surveillance system, we will establish a digital city management system and its the main structure and main functions. Then we analyse the most important wireless communications technology and develop a digital city management to adapt to the implementation. And finally describes a series of problems encountered in the process of implementation, and their solution ways.Although the implementation of this project has not yet finsihed in Suzhou, but this program has been successfully used in Heilongjiang, Jilin digital city management projects and this project will provide a strong support the future development of the digital city management, I hope this can help to provide reference for similar urban management project.
