The Design And Implementation Of The Data Collection System Based On ARM And Linux

The data collection of temperature, humidity, pressure and others are widely used in most of industrial and agricultural production. Most of the Data Collection System (DCS) use 8-bit MCU as the controller presently, but because of their functional limitations, the sampling rate and the manner of the data collection have certain restrictions, for the more, most of the MCU have no Operating System(OS), the visibility and maneuverability are not very convenient. It is very necessary to initial a research on a data collection system which has high-speed sampling rate, variety collection manner as well as strong interoperability.The DCS in this Thesis use S3C2410 as the CPU and Embedded Linux as the OS, it is controlled through the graphical user interface which designed by Qt/E(Qt/Embedded) and open-source embedded database Sqlite3; it can control and transmit the data which got from different type of data collectors through the RS-485 and I~2C bus; it realize the on-site video Surveillance using Video4Linux in Linux OS; it has a keyboard to operate the whole GUI designed by the GPIO ports and interrupt ports of S3C2410. The DCS in this thesis has the function of data collection, transmission, storage, monitoring and etc. This system not only reduce the number of processors, but also improve the sampling rate and sampling precision, at the same time, the real-time video surveillance can also be timely to know the scene of the data collection, it is favorable for some complex environments.There are some focus points such as the design of GUI, the driver of keyboard and key mapping of Qt/E, the driver of RS-485 and I~2C bus as well as the function of video surveillance in this thesis, it has accomplished the preliminary design of the DCS and run well at the exploitation of oil and gas, it has some practical value though the function need some more improvement.
