Video monitoring has been used in many places, Especially in transportation areas,In the long distance transport, it happened all kinds of traffic accidents, Along with thedevelopment of the embedded technology, communication technology and networktechnology, the original remote monitoring system can’t meet the requirements, We needmore cost-effective, communication better quality and can adapt to the video monitoringsystem. Based on this consideration, that video data to the wireless transmission researchmore urgent, has theoretical significanc e and practical significance. In this paper, itdesigns the embedded wireless monitoring system terminal, the video data collection,coding, transmission, and other modules.First of all, the paper gives the system framework of solutions, including systemhardware architecture design and software structure. Monitoring by the main front basedon ARM control board, WCDMA module, and the camera module, Through the wirelessnetwork will process after the video data transmission first place machine. And on thisbasis, established the system design of the necessary development environment.Secondly, this paper introduces the design of the system software parts. it completedthe application’s writing, including video data acquisition, RTP packaging, H.264 code.Finally, this paper complete video data transmission work, through the socket UDPnetwork communication will H.264 video transmission to the 3G network. Systemperformance are tested, the test results show that the design basic meet the requirementsof monitoring system.
