Design And Implementation Of Network Registered Module For WCDMA Dual-Mode Data Card

The advent of third generation cellular mobile communication system (3G) has greatly enriched mobile data services. It's uniform to show the value-added services and brand through the mobile terminal for letting the user experience and order service more effective. The data card takes representative of 3G terminal and its network terminal registered become a primary concern in user's experience. Although the registration process of the network is very short, it is involved in a series of complex signaling interaction process. So all along, the industries confirm the speed of network finding, accuracy, etc. as the important testing standards for its operational capacity in mobile terminals. Therefore, the study of registration process in network terminal is essential to enhance the ability of the overall business.In this paper, the background is based on WCDMA-GSM dual-mode wireless terminal data card project which use Qualcomm's MSM6290 platform. First the paper introduce the 3G terminal development status , WCDMA technology and its related 3GPP protocols of registered network, then build the overall framework of terminal system software through the system requirements analysis. Next, in the functional part of its design, the paper complete the network registered module design and realization in this project by using extended AT command implementation mechanism. This design method has the characteristics of high flexibility and easy to extend. Finally, the network registered module has been tested and analyzed, and offered the corresponding optimization strategy.The modual achieved the desired results.At present, the project has been completed and input into the European market, it is available for many operators, and the market reaction is good.
