The Heavy Ion accelerator of the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL) consists of the injector (SFC), and the main accelerator (SSC), equipping for different energy and all the kinds ion beams. The demands of improving beam intensity and quality in HIRFL are put forward, when the Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou (RIBLL), And The Cooler Storage Ring (HIRFL-CSR) were developed.then the new Buncher (NB2) is developed and fixed between SFC and SSC.The new Buncher (NB) plays important role in improving beam quality, which is composed of RF transmitter providing RF energy, and RF resonant cavity where modulated the ion velocity. When the ion beams pass the gap in the cavity coupled RF sine, the ions with different velocity are modulated to meet the match between the SFC and SSC. Then the ion beam quality is greatly improved. The New Buncher Control System (NBCS) are mainly divided into the RF transmitter control system and the cavity control system by control function. The RF transmitter control system completes RF equipment’s ON or OFF operation, state monitoring, interlock protection, parameter adjusting and so on. The cavity control system implements motor movement control, frequency changing, interlocks protection, and so on. In The New Buncher Control System, The Siemens programmable controller S7-300 is key field controller. The motors with Lenses 9300EP driver are movement mechanics. The control networks are constructed based on prefabs, and linked the near switcher by Ether technique to complete data communication between the IPC in the control room and the field control equipment.The software design is in accordance with the idea of designing software engineering, It used the software engineering technical means of UML modeling and rational rose modeling tools,and by object-oriented way to the user needs and pic control system for the analysis and design. The software design of the control system mainly includes PLC program design in STEP7 development environment, touch panel HMI software design in ProTool, the parameter software configuration in Global Driver, remote control HMI software design in WINCC6.0 IDE. The software design of the control system adopted sophisticated software configuration techniques by analysis the user demands and development period to guarantee the long-t term reliability, stability, simplifying design and debug, shortening development period, and so on.the control system is running well and meets all the user function demands.
