China’s coal production enterprise security situation is experiencing serious challenges. The widespread applications of Internet of Things provide the practicable plan of real time monitoring of the coal mine safety, which collects information through the sensors in the mine lanes, transmits it to the servers for further analysis, and then distributes the statistical result to smart terminals. In this way, the potential safety hazard could be found in time to reduce the accident rate fundamentally. Some applications have already implemented the coal mine mobile information system based on IoT; however, each of them must orient different intelligent terminals. Such solutions have the following shortcomings:duplication of development caused by heterogeneious platforms; various user experiences under different operating system and complexity of business expansion. To address these defects, this thesis raises a cross-platform technology of coal mine mobile information system, which improves the plight of device fragmentation and reduces the technology barrier to build native applications.Based on C/S architecture, this thesis introduces the design and implementation of the generic server-end program and the cross-platform client application. At first, this thesis describes the technical skills of the server-end and focuses on the implementation of the statistic chart function based on JFreeChart frame. Secondly, it introduces OpenPlug, the cross-platform development environment, and the achievement of the client-end applications with Flex. Furthermore, this thesis also describes the communication protocol interface between the server-end and the client-end. At last, this thesis tests all the functions in the Cross-Platform Coal Mine Mobile Information System to verify the system’s functional requirement and non-functional requirement via a massive amount of test cases. The implementation of the system not only improves the portability of the system but also decreases the complexity when the system needs update. Moreover, the system achieves the objective of the uniform deployment. In this efficient way, the system endows the users with a good experience and satisfies today’s fast-growing technical space.
