Then its system structure is described, and compared the EPON and GPON technologies, made a more detailed discussion. Second, analysis and expounds the principle and key technology of GPON, this paper focuses on the key technology of GPON such as networking mode, bandwidth budget,ODN planning Finally, this paper introduced FTTH solutions using GPON technology of Hubei Unicom in Hengshui City, including the optical fiber technology products and application, design and construction standards and economic index analysis, etc.
