Along with the rapid development of the computer technology, digital display technology and HDTV, put forward a higher request to video interface technology and at the same time puts forward a higher request to video interface testing.The testing cost also gradually improved.This paper mainly discusses the low cost video interface chip test system based on FPGA (Programmable Gate Array).This system can perform a variety of video interface chip test.The cost is low and it is easy to promotion.This paper firstly introduces the internal structure of three kinds of video interface chip:analog Video DAC, digital HDMI RX/TX and LVDS RX/TX.This paper also introduces the standards of three kinds of video interface and the corresponding testing standards; In order to meet the high speed, high precision chip testing requirements I developed the testing system based on FPGA.The design of the FPGA motherboard is an important part of this paper.It contains to select the FPGA chip and the connector.It also contains the signal integrity analysis. In order to match the hardware system, we developed PC software and Verilog embedded software in order to control the input signals and use the FPGA.We need to design corresponding testing daughter board and seal structure for different interface chip.In the end,do the property test according to the Video DAC VSIS standard,HDMI compliance test standard and LVDS testing stardard.Also do video application environment function test. In the end do system analysis and comparison about the extensive testing results.
