With the globalization of the economy, the social consumption structure, consumption level and consumption markets have changed a lot. To become stronger, corporations enlarge their scale, change the mode of prosecution and the structure of production. The information increases multiply in the production management. The high effect of WMS overthrow the limitation and shortage in the handwork of the traditional storage management, and it reach the aim that dealing with the very enormous information effectively, and classify it reasonably, filtrate it quickly, stat it logically and so on.First, this thesis discusses the functional requirement of the automated WMS, it is divided into modules based on the functions. In the business module design, the thesis combined with the specialty of Warehouse management, used iterative development approach, continued to refine each business process, and used design patterns to make the system flexible and easy to develop and extend, achieved goods warehousing, the management of goods in the warehouse and goods delivery business process. At the same time, on the basis of demand analysis discusses the storage allocation and to achieve a reasonable algorithm. Secondly, discusses the modular function extended platform. This platform based on the design pattern of automated WMS, achieved operation of database and grammatical analysis by using WebService Technology. Ensure the security of database by separate the database, the user cannot modify the database except special authorization. Finally, the thesis achieved the functional modules on C#+SQL Server2008.
