With the rapid development of our country’s transportation system, the bridge construction is also developed. This puts forward higher requirements for the design and manufacture of bridge bearings, which is an important part connecting the upper and lower structure of the bridge. Different bridges vary in function and design parameters, bearing size and performance requirements are also different. This leads to the bearing manufacturing companies are often faced with multi-model and small-volume orders, and the designers repeat the design of a large workload.Therefore, this paper will introduce the digitized design technology to the process of bridge bearing design, through the establishment of bridge bearing parametric design platform, construct the model of parametric design of bridge bearings, form a standardized and unified typical bearing parameterized prototype, reduce the repeat work of the design, and improve the design efficiency of bridge bearing.The paper will analyze the structural characteristics of bridge bearing and digital design technology firstly, select the secondary development tools based on UG as the method of bridge bearing digital design. Based on this, make a parametric study on the selected FCQZ-II type fixed bearing, construct bearing parameter relationships and delivery mechanisms, and make the parametric modeling of the bridge bearings based on the UG/WAVE technology and expression modeling technology. Then, use the UG/Open Menuscript and UIStyler as the tool to develop the user interface of the bridge bearings parametric design module, and use the UG/Open API and Visual Studio2008as the tool to develop the application program of bridge bearing parametric design module, and use the Microsoft Access as database support to achieve the bearing parameter information storage and retrieval, and ultimately develop a complete bridge bearing parametric design module, and through the example to realize the parametric design of bridge bearing.
