The non-abutment slant-legged rigid frame bridge is a new type of bridgedevelopedin our country in the past few years.It has got an extensive application in the constructionof high-grade highways,with a lot of advantages such as well strength-accepted function,the cheaper cost,and beautiful and simple shape,and so on.The non-abutment slant-leggedrigid frame bridge is different from simple beam bridge.Each main beam has fourslant-legged beams which integrate the main beam and base as a whole. Due to itscomplex structure, it needs much time to design well. Furthermore, the large amount ofdata tends to bring a lot of errors. However, so far there is no professionalcomputer-aided design software available to solve those problems for the newnon-abutment slant-legged rigid frame bridge, which greatly hindered the promotion andapplication of the non-abutment slant-legged rigid frame bridge. In this context, thisthesis studies and develops the computer-aided design software which has both theparametric design function and structural analysis function—the non-abutmentslant-legged rigid frame bridge CAD system.The system is developed based on the development platform VS2005with theobject-oriented programming ideas. With the support of powerful MFC library, itsuccessfully achieves parametric design of the non-abutment slant-legged rigid framebridge and greatly improves the design efficiency. The system has the following threecharacteristic.1) It implements the geometric drawing kernel library which can run without thesurport of third applicantion.and it provides enough geometric entities for drawinggeometric figure.2) It implements the parametric design of the whole non-abutment slant-leggedrigid frame bridge.so that the physical dimension of all components can be set by user.3) It implements the structural analysis function of the non-abutment slant-leggedrigid frame bridge.The system can analyse the internal force according to the input parametric.Through the application of the working examples,proves this system has goodengineering usefulness.and also has some defect that needs improving.Besides,the thesiscan direct the further work clearly from the defect in the practical application.
