Graphical programming development has been widely applied in the general computer domain. Up to now, it is still among the commonly used techniques and hot spots in other fields. The application research on WSN is still at an initial stage with few references. Application develpoments like communication implementation, bottom driver programming and the design of network projects are all tasks with a higher degree of difficulty. Reducing effectively the difficulties, improving development efficiency and especially the enhancement of the bottom driver programming efficiency are the pursuits of many technicians. Regarding the fact that no platform concerning WSN graphical development is available at home and abroad for now, the writer tries to initiate the development of the graphical component-based platform for wireless sensor network and apply it to the multi-nodes network of ZigBee-oriented MCU (MC13233) of Freescale. The writer conducts the research and design mainly from the following aspects:(1) Make a thorough analysis of the components and characteristics of traditional graphical development platforms and draw out the commonality. Put forward the technical scheme catering to WSN graphical development platform, rendering the platform interchangeable with the MCUs. Present the detailed frame structure of the development platform and elaborate on the functions of various components.(2) According to the approach of embedded hard/software component-based development, design the hardware circuit board and software of SD-ZigBee wireless node based on the MC13233, and pass the test.(3) Based on the development platform’s frame structure and the bottom driver program of MC13233modules, implement the functions of the development platform’s various components, such as the design of driver component library, the design of configuration database, interconnection and separation of icon controls, the download of graphical programs, etc.(4) Put forth a ZidBee-based multi-nodes network scheme. Conduct a secondary development on the basis of the graphical component-based wireless sensor network development platform. Design and implement a component-based WSN demonstration system which accomplishes nodes networking, AD collection and address updating etc. and testify the validity of the development platform design and the rationality of the network scheme.The graphical component-based development platform for wireless sensor network lowers effectively the difficulty for the development of WSN bottom driver program and promotes the further application and popularization of WSN in China in one way or another.
