Graphical programming technique is a way that use the visual programming ininstead of textual programming. The technology is designed through the way ofcomponent reuse. it greatly reduces the developing difficulty of the programming staff.Given all the advantages of graphical programming techniques, this paper describesthe design of development platform designing for dealing image processing that basedon graphical programming techniques.This platform customized a framework to design the embedded imageprocessing algorithms, and the platform can design algorithms for differentapplication environments. The controls of the platform is designed by componenttechnology. With the features of XML language, the platform has been successfullydesigned a lot of controls made of heterogeneous image pre-processing algorithms.People developed the entire algorithm by designing a flow chart of controls, and forspecial projects, this platform customized engineering design capabilities. Thisplatform already supports workspiece recognition and number recognition projects.These two kinds of projects are designed by calculating the diffidence of the designedfeature points with the image’s pixel dots. Engineering interface provides a friendlywindow for the users, and it provides a unified description of the feature point file. Tosupport more visual equipments, the platform adopts a new idea about thecommunications of platform and device, following the idea the platform willcommunicate with devices by an unfixed address, the final communication address isthe first memory address of the visual equipment which adds to an offset address.The platform is designed by the language of C#on Visual Studio2010, and wehave completed our work on.Net Framework successfully. The platform can designalgorithms for low cost equipment,that device with algorithms designed by theplatform can works for workpiece recognition and number recognition. Thefunction of design algorithms for low cost device achieves the original intention.
