As the sky-rocketing development of multimedia and computer technology, the virtual reality technology development by leaps and bounds. It is applied to achievements in teaching field which mainly is the virtual experiment. The employment pressure coastal cities now is quite heavy, and the dense population is high. Many students choose the secondary technical school study to face with the difficult employment situation. They hope to master a practical technology and get into the workplace as soon as possible. But due to the shortage of students, poor faculty resources, and other many factors, a reasonable teaching method is required to effective teaching. Virtual experiment made full use of the virtual reality technology with the characteristic of high simulation. It can be applied in electronic course teaching, which is complete the peripheral circuit and single-chip microcomputer integrated experiments, which are completed usually in the laboratory, is a modern experimental method to study the principles of the computer and single-chip microcomputer interface technology. A low allocation of microcomputer, a set of electronic simulation software, and some teaching experiment routines design can to some point give the students the realism of the experiments. At the same time, the students also can easily finish the teaching goal of the experimental course.The paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter-the introduction, describes the related concepts of experimental teaching and virtual experimental. Besides, it contains the outline of the paper, the background of the paper, and the research significance.The second chapter mainly expounds the related content of virtual experimental teaching. It introduces the related concepts of virtual simulation experiments, the development of virtual experiment teaching, as well as the theoretical basis of virtual experiment.The third chapter introduces virtual experimental teaching platform PROTEUS and its related concepts. Among them are detailed instructions and introduces of the PROTEUS, the origin and usage of KEIL. Then, it drew the necessity and the superiority of PROTEUS application software platform to applied to virtual experiment teaching in the secondary microcontroller teaching.The fourth chapter designs the single chip computer peripheral circuit teaching examples, with PROTEUS application software platform in order to facilitate the understanding of students and distinguishing the analog and digital parts. And the single chip microcomputer comprehensive experimental example, which used PROTEUS, throws the whole text to the climax. It verifies the huge auxiliary function of PROTEUS software platform for secondary students learning microcontroller courses.The fifth chapter of the paper curried on summarization and foresight. It also points out the main work of paper and the unfinished work.This thesis mainly discusses the development and theoretical basis of virtual experiment teaching, and it provides the theoretical basis of PROTEUS software platform to be applied to the experimental teaching. And the practical experiment designs of SCM system substantiated that the method is feasible and effective. The applications of PROTEUS in secondary single chip microcomputer course] provide a good technical support to reduce the experimental cost for secondary school, solve the resource difficulties, speed up the update speed of resources equipments, and cultivate the creativity of the students.
