Virtual Experiment And Its Application Studies In Teaching

With the improvements of computer and network technologies and further demands of scientific works, virtual experiment technology is recognized and being developed rapidly. The virtual experiment, which is considered as the third research method following theoretical and experimental investigations, shows an important direction for the scientific research technique. Moreover, it also plays an increasing role in social development and science and technology at present.Experimental teaching, e.g., teaching content, teaching mode, and teaching method, needs to be innovated and consummated because a higher requirement on the ability of scientific research and diathesis of students has been recently presented from teaching innovation. The latest development of the virtual experiment technology and strong demands of experimental innovation make the virtual experiment undergo a dynamic process from theoretical research to practical application.Firstly, the virtual experiment is not only an advancd technique, but also a new scientific method based on the blended learning theory. The virtual experiment teaching application system is found based on the following two fields: technique realization and education application. Its functions on the knowledge structure and system of students and teaching mode of lecturers have been discussed in details. In addition, its effects on the creationary ideation and cooperative ability of students have been analyzed.Secondly, college physics experiment, which is typical in the present college education, has been selected as the research object of the virtual experiment education. Educational innovation, personal ability training of the experimental teaching, e.g. the content, curriculum arrangement and teaching mode, have been discussed. Moreover, the education goals on the person with ability and group collaboration have been presented. The connection point is found based on technique characters of the virtual experiment. A project "Physical property studies of temperature sensor" is well designed and applied in the college physics experiment. Correspondingly, the questionnaire has been finished to help analyzing the experimental results and drawbacks.
