Que Daolong ’s Editing Career And His Research On The Law Of Editorial Activities

As a senior editor of China Youth Press, Que Daolong who was diligent and rigorous always has beenresponsible for cultivation on youth, literature&art, trial, reexamination and final work of books ofphilosophy social science. He presided over editing and publishing a batch of books of significant influencefor youth education, who focused on the quality of the books, insisted in putting social effect in the firstplace, meanwhile, was good at associating youth education with books.He also focused on fieldinvestigation in practice, paid attention to summarizing publishing experience, often launched essays forexchanged published work experience for giving some reference.In the1980s, Que Daolong began his research on editorial science. He is the editor of the practicaleditorial science and co-author of introduction, concentrated study of the edit theory outline with XuBairong&Lin Suifang These books became the representative achievement of edit science in differentperiod, leading editing research step by step to mature. He seriously analyzed the argument on nature of theorigin of editing activities and concluded that the history of editing activities originated from Xizhoudynasty by research. As a social and cultural activity, the editing activity is intermediary, creativity andideological predispositions. He devoted a lot to editorial discipline construction and development, was ascholar who began an early research on editing activities and social relations, editing activities and socialeconomic, political, and cultural relationship that formed his edit science the important content.This paper will be divided into three parts. The first part firstly summarizes Que Daolong’sprofessional career, and introduces his editing practice; secondly introduces his experience in editingresearch and significant inference, meanwhile, illustrates the meaning of research results for the purpose ofshowing his editing activities in different ages and change of his editing concept. The second part, throughto the material analysis, summarizes his research on the internal law of editing activities; emphasize theidea that the research on editing theory shall take practice as a foundation. The third part studies theexternal rule of editing activities, summarizing enlightenment function of editing external rule to themodern editing work. Que Daolong edited books in his youth age; while he contributed himself to researchon editing academe with the principle of practice and theory together. His spirit that he contributes his whole life to editing and research sets an example for us.
