SOPC(System On Programmable Chip)is the system that integrates CPU, memory, I/Oand other modules into a programmable logic device by using programmable logic technologyto complete the system main logic function. The system based on SOPC technology has meritsof high integration, strong anti-jamming capability and high flexiblity. In the condition whichknitting machine control system is updated continuously, reliability, integration and weavingspeed is improved gradually, function is diversification gradually, it is an inevitable choice tointroduce the SOPC technology into control system to improve the performance of the systemfor the development of knitting machine control technology.The study of flat knitting machine control system based on SOPC technology is the mainwork about this thesis. First, the working principle of the knitting machine, the mechanicalstructure and the domestic and foreign knitting machine control system research are introduced,then SOPC technique and its application are also introduced in the thesis. In the second, anoverall design scheme of flat knitting machine control system in the basis of analysing flatknitting machine control tasks is proposed. The entire flat knitting machine control system isdivided into three aspects including a man-machine interface module, main control module, andcontrol module, and the hardware design of the first two are discussed detailed. Then theimplementation method of system on chip based on Nios II soft core and core function iselaborated, and the structure of on-chip system about man-machine interface module and maincontrol module is studied next. Also then the uC/OS-II real-time operating system transplantand uC/GUI graphics support system transplant are introduced and realized, and the LCDdrive, Chinese character creation and touch screen driver design are designed. The final detailsof the knitting machine control system is software design of human-machine interface moduleand main control module,and the corresponding test results are given.In this thesis, not only the functional requirements of human-machine interface module and main control module for knitting machine control system is completed, but also thehardware design of handpiece control module is completed. It is proved that practice in flatknitting machine control system based on SOPC technology enhances its anti-jammingcapability and flexibility, reduces the number of peripheral chip and the cost of the system, andmakes system have strong expansibility and transplantation.
