With the development and great success of computer technology in variousapplications, the relational database systems have been developed rapidly. Todaybecause of the exponential growth of data, data processing and analysis is veryimportant. Extracting useful information from massive data in business has becomethe current hot topic. This needs us to seek new technology or tools, and a new dataanalysis and decision system, named as “Business Intelligence”(BI) system becomesthe main development direction.In recent years the data analysis and decision are the main concerns, and themethods and technology are getting more and more attentions from many scholars, sothey drive the development in financial data decision system, As a decision system, itcan help people collect information and judge the future development, and can alsointeract with human and realize the related functions. Different form traditionaldatabase system, not only can it save and search for data, but also it can analyze thedata automatically, filter out redundant data, turn the data plane into hierarchicalinformation systems. Meanwhile data warehouse links the data from a number ofgeographical through appropriate technology for processing and analysis.Decision-makers can combine the market situation with the results of the analysis bydata mining, improve the capabilities of financial decision support.The thesis first discusses the business status of financial management, the currentdata analysis tools, analyze the requirements of financial decision-making about thecorporations; introduces the characteristics of the decision-making system, the designof functional modules, realize a financial data decision-making system through theestablishment of the data warehouse, model library subsystem and metadatamanagement subsystem.The thesis describes the overall architecture of the system, including datacollection platform, data warehouse center, on-line data analysis platform, and onlinedata navigation platform. Data collection platform operates data extraction,purification and conversion. Data warehousing center first establish the basic data warehouse, and finally establish the whole data warehouse, by using specialized metadata management to control. Data analysis platform convert the large amount of datainformation into multi-dimensional information according to the subject, by usingdrilling, slice to have a better understanding of the data change, meanwhile createmodel library and use component technology to quickly respond to customer requests.The system has the ability of scalability, security and convenience. Finally, the furtherdirection is pointed out.
