Research And Implementation Of Semantic Retrieval Model Based On Jena

Keyword match is a generally method used by the traditional information retrieval system. However, the research result returned by the system based on this technology can't always satisfy the customer. In order to solve this problem, we propose a new retrieval model and give a detail description for each component after reviewing the history and introducing the new progress of search engine. Then we discuss the implementation method for the ontology extracting, ontology reasoning and ontology querying modules under Jena semantic framework. After that, we present an algorithm called extended term document matrix which combines the tf-idf and term document matrix method to solve the problem about how to calculate relevance between ontology models and keywords, and our retrieval model gets improved precision and good compatibility with this solution. Meanwhile, a method based on classic E-R diagram is put forward as well to simply the process of constructing small ontology model. With the experiment for the prototype under the proposed retrieval model, we find the recall and precision rate of result are satisfactory as well.
