The ship of violent shaking may serious damage hull structure and the main component, reduce the ship speed and stability, make crew health decline, reduce the ship staff work efficiency, and even cause ship overthrown. In the six swaying motion of a ship, rolling motion is the most harmfulness. So for a kind of effective method to reduce shipping roll has always been concerned issue in the motion control field. Fin stabilizing control system is an active roll reduction device which has been applied and researched on various ships more widely.This thesis studies ship fin stabilizing control system, analysis of the ship fin stabilizing control system which based on PID control strategy and its simulation system, the purpose is control fin stabilizing system and display parameters, then display their relationship.According to the theory of random waves, this thesis analysis the constitution of random waves, create the mathematical model of wave angles which is needed in ship rolling motion, and amended based on the real ship parameters. And then create the mathematical model of random waves and to the simulation with Matlab software.Firstly, this thesis combined with the actual parameters of ship "Yukun" and "Beihaijiu115", create the mathematical model of ship rolling motion, and then make simulation with different marine conditions. Secondly, according to the ship rolling principle and analysis structure of the control system compared the open loop control with PID control. The result of simulation indicates that PID controller is satisfactory on the whole under the certain marine conditions. But, with the complexities of shipload and the uncertainty of marine environment, the PID controller does not satisfactory whole conditions. So a method of optimize PID controller’s parameters is needed. Thirdly, systematically introduce the GA(genetic algorithm) and verify the feasibility of GA.At last, optimize the parameters of PID control by GA and analysis the result of simulation.With a specific situation, realize data interchange from VC++to Matlab. Complete the fin stabilizing control system’s control interface by Flash. The control interface can display the fin stabilizers’parameters and their relationship, which can embody the fins angle variation more intuitive. The whole system realizes the process which from single simulation to combine software with hardware.
