The drive system of the fin stabilizer used to be electric-hydraulic servo system in recent years, with the development of the electromechanical integration it is made possible that using electric-mechanical servo system as the drive equipment of the fin stabilizer in small or medium ships. This paper is written in this background.At first, moment of force of the fin shaft is analyzed when ship has a complex movement on the sea in this paper. The count of moment in theory is very difficulty because the movement of fin stabilizer is abnormity. The power of drive system is difficulty because the moment is consider linearity. The dynamic hydro-moment of fin stabilizer is obtained by the way of experiment, and the data of experiment is fitted. Thereby the power of fin stabilizer is calculate. By analyzing the characteristic load of fin stabilizer and the current executor, considering the control policy, the member of system is offered and the asynchronous motor is the executor. According to the demand of the fin stabilizer, a control policy which AC motor is controlled by applying electric current loop, speed loop, position loop in this system is offered, and having a debugging to parameter of the classical PID controller. The results of the simulation are very good. The result of simulation meets the demand of drive system of fin stabilizer. The result of simulation show it is feasible that the electric servo drive the system of fin stabilizer.
