Fin stabilizer is the best of the anti-rolling device at present, the device can improve thesafety factor and seaworthiness of the ship. In order to improve the performance of finstabilizer system, research the fin stabilizer under complex sea conditions can play a verygood rolling effect, we design and development a fin stabilizer control system for virtualreality research.In the paper, we proceed from the virtual reality simulation technique and its keytechnology, fin stabilizer control system as the research object, research Finstabilizer-dimensional virtual visual simulation to achieve ship fin movement under a varietyof the conditions. First, according to the principle of random waves, using the wave energyspectral density, random wave model needed in ship rolling simulation is given and makesimulation, obtain good simulation effect of random waves. According to the ship motionmodel to analyze the characteristics of roll motion, to determine the ship rolling model.The second, study the roll stabilization theory of fin stabilizer systems, analysis of finstabilizer hydraulic servo system works in various components of the servo system anddetermine the transfer function analysis of fin stabilizer the control law of the PID parametersand design fin stabilizer control system PID controller, combined with the mathematicalmodel of ship roll motion to complete the ship fin stabilizer control system numericalsimulation.Finally, a visual simulation of ship’s motion attitude in direct sailing system is carriedout. Based on the different functions of system components, the system is divided into fourparts. That is ship3D model, numerical simulation module, virtual display of ship motionattitude model, and human-computer interaction module. analysis of three-dimensionalmodeling, choose MultiGen Creator dimensional modeling software, use the OpenFlighthierarchical structure of the database, application examples of the technology, texturemapping technology to build ship and fin stabilizer-dimensional solid model. The programused to solve the ship motion equation is written by C++language, so as to complete thedesign of numerical simulation module; Vega is used to establish the virtual ocean scene andrealize the3-d display of ship motion attitude; a human-computer interaction based on MFCis designed. Communication strategy between modules and program process control solution is designed in Visual C++6.0programming environment, so as to compile program forvisual simulation system.
