The electrohydraulic load simulator of fin stabilizer is a kind of equipment which can simulate fin stabilizer's dynamic load in laboratory condition.The developing periods of fin stabilizer is shortened by the high performance's electrohydraulic load simulator of fin stabilizer,and it can improves its reliability and success rate.The research of electrohydraulic load simulator is always the advanced topic of hydraulic control field all the times, and it is a topical passive force servo system. From the view of controlling,it is also a strong coupling,time varying controlled object,the difficulty of the research is how to decrease system produced strong interference caused by fin stabilizer fin tablets'motion,that is the effect of surplus force.This paper establishes the mathematical models of the fin stabilizer and loading system firstly,and then is the simulation analysis to the system in frequency domain.As the same time,analyzes the effect of the main parameters to loading system. Based on above theoretical analysis and according to the characteristics of the fin stabilizer loading system has no high requirement for frenquency width,but it has high requirement for loading force,this paper analyzes the characteristic of active loading and passive loading by using the PID controller,the simulation result shows that the system has too much surplus force through passive loading. Then this paper analyzes the reason of producing surplus force and different steps of fin stabilizer motion's effect to loading system,and this is the basis of designing a improvement controller.In accordance with the fact that there exist defects in traditional controlling methods, this paper selects sliding mode variable structure control algorithm which is parameter variations and disturbance insensitive, strong robustness designs loading system's sliding mode variable structure controller. And wakened the chattering phenomenon of sliding mode variable structure control by using the exponential velocity trending law. Simulation results shows that this controller can eliminate the surplus force of the passive loading system.At the last,this paper designs the control system of the electrohydraulic load simulator of fin stabilizer . And then putting up the hardware-in-the—loop simulation system using the xPC Target toolbox of Matlab software and the control unit'functions were verified.
