Along with domestic mobile operators’ GSM network has gradually matured, the number of mobile users grow rapidly,the customers’ requirment on network communications quality is higher and higher. Mobile operators realize that even network has gradually matured but wireless network optimization will never stop. In the daily network eptimization, KPI analysis is an important means of observing network quality of service,also is the important basis of developing wireless network optimization scheme. Wireless network optimization personnel will understand the actual operating state of wireless network through the KPI analysis, and formulate corresponding optimization program according to the analysis results, to solve the problems which exist in the network affecting service quality in the time as short as possible, so that the wireless network targets are improved, thus improving the network quality of service.In the paper,it first introduces the current situation of Nanyang Unicorn’s GSM network and the ideas of KPI analysis on the nctwork,and then it briefly summarizes the principle of KPI statistics and the ideas of analysis, finally,taking Nanyang Unicorn’s GSM network as a carrier,it detailedly describs KPI analysis’application in the actual wireless network optimization.It puts forward ideas and suggestions for optimization through analysing the network KPI targets,and carries out an optimized scheme, finally verifies the effect of optimization through Comparing the KPI targets before optimization with ones after optimization.In the paper,it emphatically analyzes In-depth the ones in KPI tagets which affect the user’s perception,such as tch_calldrop, tch_congestion, radioconn_percent, interfer, handover,etc, Presents a detailed idea of analysing problem and a specific processing method.Along the paper’s cases of KPI analysis,we can find that:we can omprehensively monitor the operation of wireless networks with KPI analysis,in order to detect abnormal base station or area, and in combination with other methods, analyze network problems(such as: unreasonable setting of wireless network parameters,the areas where frequency interference exists,the hardware equipments which have hidden failure,etc),further improve the indicators of network and the quality of service,make the network running stably and unobstructedly,ensure steady improvement in customer satisfaction.In addition,it finally puts forward some recommendations of KPI analysis in the future depending on the current situation of Nanyang Unicorn’s GSM network,and defines the key direction of KPI analysis.It also illustrates the identity and diffrence of two kinds of KPI analysis which are respectively used in WCDMA network and GSM network, in accordance with the former bowrrowing from another,and expatiates the goals of KPI analysis in Nanyang Unicom.
