The quality of the mobile network ties up directly with the benefit of the mobile network operator. The traffic congestion is the extremely serious problem in the mobile communication network. It can seriously affect the network quality, lead the phone not to be able to access in the network. Therefore, to solve the traffic congestions in the GSM network is the important link of network optimization and construction.This paper based on GSM related principle and technical standards, took the need of the GSM network construction in ChenDu, GuangYuan as examples, made the research to solution for the causes of the wireless network traffic congestion and the process of cause veryfing during project practices and dealing process, bringing forward 3 resolvents. Firstly, through adjusting the parameters of the hard software, removing the interference, hence improving the cell traffic absorbing capacity, also reducing the traffic jam.The 2nd resolvent is adopting half-speed function at the situation of no change being introduced to the network configuration.This way is mainly aiming at the network traffic running into jam for little longtime . Through actual application in local network, with the same carrier frequency disposition, it not only can solve the target cell traffic congestion, but also raised the wireless channel-using rate. The 3rd way is the using of carrier pond technology. The using of the technology could made much more traffic increased and traffic jam greatly decreased by preparing the resources according to the time.Through research and application of these process methods, we will solve the problem of traffic jam in GSM wireless network, improve the network resource using ratio, achieve the designing goal of the network construction, upgrade the network service quality.
