Now, with the China Mobile organized a large-scale testing of TD-LTE pre-commercial network in six cities of China in May, the communication networks are gradually evolving to 4G mobile communications. Communication technology will lead to higher data rates, spectral efficiency and user throughput. To this end, if the operators want to achieve accurate prediction of signal coverage prediction in the planning and optimization in facing of higher spectrum, more complex wireless environment, there must need more accurate network planning and optimization tools, and the tool must contain a more accurate propagation model.Because the software of ray-tracing ----Volcano_lab can provide accurate deterministic propagation model, so that this paper will Integrate Volcano_lab in the simulation software----ANPOP, research and analyze the deterministic propagation models in the process of wireless network planning and optimization.Firstly, this paper describes two simulation softwares, ANPOP (Advanced Network Planning & Optimizing Platform) software and Volcano lab software.Second, with deterministic propagation models analyzed, we can see the the advantages of deterministic propagation model as opposed to experience propagation model and integrate Volcano_lab in the simulation software. Then, with the detailed designed, I complete the work integrating Volcanolab in the ANPOP software.Finally, it has integrated the the Volcanolab ray tracing software to the ANPOP software by detailed design. Then, it choices Beijing TD-LTE test measured of the CW drive test data as compared with the calibration and prediction data, and then it uses of integrated software to predict the Volcano propagation model for calibration, which has been applied to predict in the two scenarios propagation model for wireless environments in the paper.lt proves Volcano ray-tracing model predictive more accuracy and applicability, by the contrast of calibration and forecasting applications with Volcano propagation model and SPM propagation model.And the paper proposes the range of usage scenarios of the deterministic propagation model, so it can provides the actual reference for network planning and optimization.
