The incidence rate and death rate of cardiovascular diseases is increasing year by year, whichseriously endangers people’s health. Pulse wave contains cardiovascular disease information likehypertension and arteriosclerosis, which can reflect in change of pulse wave’s amplitude and form,and can show in blood parameter. So the related cardiovascular parameter that achieved fromanalysis and processing of detected pulse wave can us early know and diagnose the variationtendency of human physiology health, what more, make early defense and cure. And it becomespopular issue of scholars both at home and abroad. So the detection of pulse wave is very importantto subsequent process and forecast of cardiovascular disease. However the existing analysistechnics are most in software simulation and little in hardware. So the core of this paper arehardware structure of pulse wave wavelet transform and digitization of pulse picture basicparameters.Firstly, this paper summarizes status and development trend of the modern objective pulseexamination, and more pulse examination are recommended in the dissertation. The paperintrudeces pulse wave characteristic points’peressue curvilinear equations on pulse picture. And itsummarizes main research method. Meanwhile it briefly introduces wavelet transform’s basictheory, characteristic and application. The Mallat arithmetic that used in signal decomposition andreconstruction is the main rationale theory of wavelete transform. Base are the basic rationale forthe hardware of pulse wave analysis.Secondly, the article that basing on the study of fundamental theories and characteristic of thewavelet transform, combining the study of the pulse picture objectification domestic and overseas,detailed analyses the pulse condition theory, deeply studies the detection of pulse wave character,and proposes a hardware structure of the wavelet transform, and realize it on FPGA, which gainedfrom simulation by Matlab.contrapose the structure of the wavelet transform arithmetic andcharacteristic point detection arithmetic. The article also presents a hardware realization method,which realizes its function on FPGA. It not only increases the system operating rate, but alsoimproves the system’s security. The pipeline architecture is emplyed to design the waveletdecomposition module, implement different layer of the wavelet decomposition module to improveoperational efficiency. Then based on zhangdaxiang’s pulse picture method, this paper summarizespulse wave indexs and achieves the hardware on FPGA with arithmetic of index number,infinitesimal calculus and division. Finally ,as for design methodology, the paper uses conventional top-down methodology, hassucceeded in accomplishing the logic design of a wavelet transform chip, and in order to make sureof the validity of the function, make the system FPGA simulation.The function system works at Quartus II 9.0 platform by verilog and checks the simulation,using the Matlab software to evaluate their performance.
